Wait. Wait.
CVT transmissions are perfectly adequate for most cars out there and 95% of drivers. Most people couldn’t tell you anything about their transmission beyond “automatic” and have no idea what type of transmission they have, much less how many gears it has (the exception may be people who dealt with the Ford dual clutch…
What the FUCK, bro, why would you make the dong removable
*tch* Another Tesla hit piece from someone jealous of Elon’s success. It’s actually supposed to fly off when it senses a collision is imminent as a last line of defense against an oncoming vehicle. The Cybertruck is already on track to becoming the most significant invention of all time, second only to the life-size…
It’s almost like Overwatch’s story is a giant mishmash that even Blizzard doesn’t really care about, since it’s now the same free-to-play grindathon as a dozen other live service games, and any hope of stakes or consistency in this fictional world has long since vanished.
Bethesda’s exclusive partnership with AMD caused a big controversy when it was announced earlier this summer precisely because of the chip company’s pattern of locking out competitors’ features.
no they aren’t, FSR works on all hardware.
“I am now a pariah of that subreddit,” Adkins wrote in his initial email. “I get it, hype and excitement are at an all-time high. I’m just as excited as the next person, but I draw the line at theft. I was raised to believe that crime doesn’t pay. I had hoped our society, and so-called Bethesda fans could be held to…
“dozens of videos and multiple podcast episodes a week”
“hearing the word ‘retro’ from a Japanese viewpoint, suggests more of a ‘fad’ brought back from a past era and reskinned for the current era.” Basically, he thinks the term is disrespectful and would prefer older games be referred to as simply that or as “classic games.”
Oh, no, it’s WAY worse than that. Just listen to him:
I am a Service Manager at an independent repair shop (of 7 locations nearby) and I CRINGE anytime I have any repairs that require any kind of programming, relearning, etc. In the past year, VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group), BMW, & Mercedes have pulled all access to programming their vehicles. Blocked access even with the…
Difference is that AMD makes their tech open to everyone, so both Nvidia and Intel users can use FSR. It’s an open tech. So you’ll be fine, and so will infact all users of older hardware as AMD doesn’t lock out users of older hardware.
Hardware Unboxed did a comparison between DLSS and FSR showed that the differences between the two are relatively marginal and that while DLSS is slightly better than FSR, there’s several situations where FSR is better and that it’s hard to tell the difference between the two in motion.
People will continue to be bitches. As a 3080 owner, this doesn’t phase me in the slightest. My backup rig, which I play on often when I can’t use the front room, has a 1080ti. I will also not be phased on that rig. nVidia have done this shit for years, nothing here is different.
Nvidia has been doing this for years, it’s one of the biggest reasons why games tend to run more smoothly on Nvidia hardware compared to AMD hardware. The other half being that yes, Nvidia has historically invested more in its drivers too.
Part of the the reason the Coast Guards of the world don’t seek remuneration is because doing so can lead to people not calling when they’re in trouble.
Why are the taxpayers on the hook for a dime?
As much as Nvidia might want everyone to use DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) in it’s comparisons, they really shouldn’t. Unlike DLSS 2 where you’re rendering each frame at a lower resolution and upscaling it, DLSS 3 is adding ‘framerate’ via entirely AI generated frames. This works best when you already have a playable…
