When you jump in MK, at least from what I remember, you lose speed. The Firehop "bug", as you might know, lets you increase your speed while on boost (1 hop for small, 3 for large IIRC).

Guild Wars 2 is still a very well made game. The lack of "end content" is not such a big deal thanks to "Living World". People used to get a new patch and a bazillion new weapons to farm like a friggin zombie, are in for a disappointment, sure, but the game itself is a great ode to gameplay and exploration.

Well, if you start to count all of the things that can go wrong during a flight, I'm actually amazed we don't have more planes crashes... Leaving intentional attacks or other ill things to the side, planes are very fragile from my ignorant point of view.
