"insurance". Bahahahahahahaha. Good one.

I do the job site thing. I'm the asshole that wears a sport coat and tells them where they're fucking up though.
If you were of the age and demo to play golf, wouldn't the Viagra required for the mistress cut into the 2 seater sports car fund?
An old Acura. Underpowered, FWD and pretty tiny if you actually have to deal with kids. Looks better than a Corolla at least.
So...why the hell would you be leasing a work truck on a standard dealer lease?
Dude, I live in the midwest. Outside of muddin' there isn't jack shit in terms of "fun" 4wd terrain. I'll gladly leave it in 2 wheel and get stupid.
Interest rates are at all time historic lows, and you blew 20k liquid on a down payment?
Oh yea, a chick car that lets you stare at the new Gtis when you're waiting in the dealer service waiting room every month, I forgot.
Do you honestly think people dropping 55-58k on a truck are overly concerned if gas goes from 2 bucks to 3 a gallon? Gas prices affect the buyer spending 12-15k, people dropping 45+ don't care.
Does it have enough room for a hot dog suit though?
38k gets you a brand new Ram 2500 single cab with a solid axle, diesel and manual box. They rot on the lot at that spec, why haven't you bought one?
How exactly is it "extreme"? What would your sedate, milquetoast kid hauler be?
Same reason people lease anything else. Most folks like new things, and ~350/month for a new vehicle every 3 years seems more fun than 650/month for a 5 year loan.
You know, my truck is 9 years old, I tow a race car, haul bikes, mulch, large equipment, take it off road, etc, and my tailgate isn't bent, there's no dents on it, and the bedliner seems to do a pretty good job of not having the paint get ripped off.
Because they look cool, drive nice and are fun to own.
Yes, you are correct, you are completely irrelevant in the modern car/truck marketplace, and have been for over 25 years.
Crew Cab pickup trucks are the ultimate car guy family hauler. Comfortable on long trips, tons of room in the back seat, big V8 for power, 4wd for crap weather, 2WD when you want to have fun, capable of hauling a track toy and plenty of room in the bed for home projects. Win/win.
Not well.
Spec wise, a V8 supercar is almost identical in concept to a modern day sprint cup car. 3/4 of the chassis is spec across all makes, the wheelbase is spec, they are allowed "brand identification" sections of the nose and rear quarter sections of the car, the greenhouse area is spec, the suspension sections and gearbox…
