The title of this article should have been, "The Acolyte gets rave reviews from the author of this article and from other cherry picked internet randos."
It was a good film, I really enjoyed it. I’m also not surprised in the slightest idiots on both sides got all up in arms because the film never explicitly confirmed who started the war, red or blue ties.
I want this to be good, I really do. But these advance reviews are notoriously unreliable, and these are even more useless than normal because it’s only 2 episodes out of 8.

Germain, you are the ultimate corporate stooge for nerd related media. Congratulations.
Welcome to plutocracy, a government for and by the wealthy- and only them. This is the expected result when a government legalizes bribery. They don’t work for “the little people”, they just pretend they do.

Well this sure had a ton of cameos. yay...?
“It’s easy to be a saint in paradise” is one of my favorite DS9 quotes.
People think DS9 only got good when the Dominion stuff started?
The thing with DS9 is that it was good from the start. Did it get better? Absolutely. But season 1 of DS9 is miles better than most Trek first seasons, and of the live-action Treks I think only TOS and Strange New Worlds have better season ones.
I’m one of those fans that loves all Trek on at least some level, but there was something extra special about DS9 right from the beginning. Essentially, throwing out the “perfection” of the Federation, etc., from the get-go made it an infinitely more interesting story to watch. Again, love the original, TNG, Voyager,…
This shows that he takes personal pride in everything he does, and I can respect that. There was a lot of wasted potential in that movie.
This genius thinks he deserves a 56 billion dollar compensation package and his big innovation is “laying people off”.
