How sure are we that that’s even the reason? What was the last DCEU movie to make real money? BvS? The ones from the post-pandemic era have been busts. Gunn’s suicide squad made like 200M, Birds of Prey around the same. Black Adam cracked 300M. Shazam made 133 M worldwide, HUGE bust.

So streamers are creeping ever so slowly to the cable packages that they destroyed. Just more expensive.
I can’t wait ‘til our ISPs offer “Basic streaming packages” that include Netflix, Prime and your choice of AppleTV+ or Disney+. It’ll be like 90s fashion coming back. Is all techbro stuff just rehashed “things from

Don’t look at it as “Agatha Harkness is getting a series.” Look at it as “Marvel is doing what they can to give Kathryn Hahn more work.”

Hot take: 10 bucks a month can’t produce and compensate the folks who make 30 new TV/movie properties every month.
