Here's my review:
What — was the word "booby" not sophomoric enough?
Wait — that was a turkey??? Oh, that's a relief.
I watched Ep 3 last night, and I feel dumb because I don't know what the hell is going on. As a fan of Breaking Bad and most Rogen/Goldberg stuff, I want to like this, but many of the male characters seem to be indistinguishable (except for Arseface, of course), and I don't really get a sense that the plot is going…
"Andy, I'm in my jammy-jams!!!"
"Do you respect wood?"
Yes, there's that one and a couple other songs on the Superstar Carwash album that sound just like radio-ready Replacements songs. Oddly, the song that was co-written by Westerberg is not one of those songs.
I'm fairly certain I've read that while recording Tim, they managed to stain the studio ceiling with vomit.
And still no "shocker" symbol??? Oddly, I see those stickers on the back windows of cars/pickup trucks more than one would think.
That clown emoji will most certainly help a lot of people get laid.
They are trying to replicate the time that Phil Collins played at Live Aid in London and Philly(?) on the same day, but on a smaller DIY scale.
Ditto on Farm…
Well, they say you get what you pay for… and you paid for a case of shit.
I'll be the first to admit I'm not fond of Donald Trump, but that just wasn't funny.
Filtered water? Oh, you are so old fashioned. My bunker's filtration system can handle urine.
Wait — old MTV or new MTV? Because I am the old MTV demo, but I just think a lot of the music from that era is best forgotten… or at least limited to karaoke and class reunions.
Plenty of good music made after 1980, but I wouldn't categorize "The Heat Is On," "Goody Two Shoes," or even "99 Red Balloons" (despite its epic inclusion in Boogie Nights) as good.
Due to my limited vocabulary, I had to look up "temporalist"… biggest takeaway is that it's (allegedly) not a valid Scrabble word. But no hate here — just pure love of 70s soft rock.
Why the continued fascination with one-hit wonders from the 80s? The 70s offer more fertile territory if you really need to go this route.
