Bob could have just changed the lyrics to "How To Skin a Cat"…

Yeah, I was thinking those venues looked a bit large for this bill.

Reluctantly upvoted.

I used to enjoy reading the fake band names on the Suitcase box in record stores (but not quite enough to buy it). And I know I shouldn't be shocked by this this, but it's still pretty remarkable that there are now four "Suitcases" with 100 songs each! Writing songs is just another bodily function for Pollard…

Something something… Betty White?

For those of you that don't habla Espanol, El Chapo is Spanish for… "The Chapo."

I will see you Ben Kweller and raise you "Penny on the Train Track."

A friend once described Pizza Hut's pan pizza as "a tomato and cheese donut," which I thought was just about right.

Is that you, Janks?

What about the following comment… while picturing Bill Cosby's face but hearing John C. Reilly's voice?
"Your honor, I am SOOOO not a raper!"

Which Smiths song? I must be getting too old to remember things of this import.

Hmmm… I remember The Replacements' "I Will Dare" now, but I honestly can't recall any of the others that you mentioned.

I just don't have any interest in seeing anyone cover Europe or Enya. No need to recycle songs… here's a list of artists whose songs (I think) have not yet been covered in this feature:
AC/DC
Afghan Whigs
Bruce Springsteen
Built To Spill
Dinosaur Jr.
Drive-by Truckers
Elliott Smith
Guided By Voices
Husker Du
Modest Mouse
New

Just an observation on the latest edition of Undercover: I don't think I watched one episode this year. While I generally like the feature, it seemed like the song selection consisted of too many novelty hits from the 80s that I wasn't really interested in seeing covered.

Coolidge Corner Theater is getting it also… aren't we Bostonians just the cinephiles?

Not very hard?
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!

Slightly related — has anyone noticed that T-Mobile radio ad with the music that sounds just like The White Stripes' "Rag and Bone?"

Let's not forget his recurring role as spokesman for On-cor foods:

"Grandma is
A punk rocker"
