It’s even funnier when you consider the author of this had his own little episode just a few months ago because deadspin commenters had the nerve to disagree with his Anthony Davis/ New Orleans Pelicans take.

Eastbound and Down
I had trouble liking the last season because they wasted a third of it with Leslie and Ron fighting. It was such a dumb decision and made no sense.
Agreed. I felt the inclusion of Parks and Rec was weird too. While the final episode was indeed fantastic the final season spent 3 or 4 episodes pitting Leslie vs Ron for absolutely no reason. It was baffling and I hated it.
Okc was left with no choice?
Yes the Dallas Mavericks organization that allowed years of mysoginy and sexual harassment go unchecked for years definitely deserves something good to happen to them. God bless that strong organizational culture.
So you’re saying people from other countries can’t love a team because they’re not from that country? So does that apply to people from other countries that love American sports teams or does your opinion only apply to lame idiot Americans? Seems like a bad opinion either way tbh
Euron hid a fleet of 20 ships behind a big rock, sprung an ambush of big machine gun arrows and then was able to find (and capture) miss sunday amongst all the destruction. After all his incredible feats in the last 2 seasons can somebody hand this guy the greatest warrior ever award already.
He won the battle at the wall. Sure he needed Stannis to win the war but he was awesome during that fight.
I fall asleep to the low unintelligible mumbles of Shaq on my white noise machine
Well I think volunteering is along the lines of me saying working when you want on your own schedule. But is retirement really about just reading books, having a hobby and watching movies? Is that what we have to look forward to at the end of years of work? I already do those things now. Sounds kinda depressing.
2 dragons were shown in next week’s preview so unless it was a flashback im assuming that a dragon didn’t probably die. Unless you’re counting the already dead dragon dying again
I think the dream of never working is over stated. I think it’s more of choosing when you want to work on your own schedule. I say that as someone in his 30s who took all the money I had saved and quit a job that I hated to go travel for months. I loved it, but waking up without any kind of purpose got old too. I know…
“There was at least an argument a few days ago that the Rocketscould go toe-to-toe with the reigning champs; now it feels like a question of whether the series will go four games or five.”
Yes but in your college football example at least they play it out on the field. Penalties to me is like a free throw contest to decide a basketball game, home run derby to break ties in baseball or field goal competition in football. Away goals isn’t without its faults but it’s much better to see a match decided on…
Forget history. Yes it was a 4-3 loss but it happened in one of the most unbelievable games ever. There’s a reason they play 2 games though. Sign me up for more of that every day
Yes, exactly. My example strengthened your point. Just seemed the more logical example to use to prove your point of how the series could’ve gone differently was the historically all time great Ray Allen shot. I would guess that most people don’t even remember the Duncan miss.....except maybe a spurs fan. Just was…
Yes, as in if Ray Allen doesn't make that shot the result would’ve been different. Are you an actual traffic cone or just as smart as one?
Lol i found it interesting you used a Timmy missed lay up as an example of how the series could’ve gone differently instead of one of the greatest clutch shots ever in Ray Allens 3 pointer. Are you a spurs fan?
It's funny to hear Magic go on and on about how all the rules were making the job not fun because that's the same complaint I have about my job. Famous people... they're just like us!!
