I think the real problem is that Zelda is aimed for 10-15 year olds. Anyone who played Ocarina of time around that age is probably too old to enjoy the latest iteration of the game. Thus, it makes perfect sense for Nintendo to recreate and polish the classics.

in majoras mask you could turn into 3 different creatures and they were way cooler than the wolf.

It was a gorgeous game but can anyone tell me what new things it brought the the Zelda series? How did it advance the series?
