Clearly. The events have been great, the free concerts have been pretty awesome, and it doesn’t hurt that it feels like Canada gets a medal every other event. We’ve been off enjoying the festivities - you should give it a shot.

It’s been a blast, frankly. I don’t actually know a single person who hasn’t enjoyed it.

And the US gave us Marky Mark, OTown, SClub 7, Miley, Rebecca Black, Adam Levine amongst oh so many others.

At the risk of having my maple syrup privileges rescinded, the fact that he’s not Canadian isn’t the REAL reason, it’s just the most polite way we could think of saying “Kanye sucks, we don’t deserve that kind of torture. If we wanted to be tortured we’d have tried to stop Bieber from moving to the States.”

Well... I don’t disapprove per se, I just don’t partake or know anyone who does. We’re pretty laissez faire about it though, if you want to, go for it.

Haha I wish :p

I dunno... I very often think it would be much better to have to deal with that than what women deal with. At least five days a month I wish I was a guy...

I wonder if you’re hearing it because you were listening for it?

I don’t know much about Buddhism, but this hardcore goes against what I thought about the religion...

Atleast he’s not Tyler Wentworth Jr or something ;)

Oh man, that song is a running joke in my house! Whenever it comes on the radio my dad start grumbling about “he’s a damned rocket scientists - she SHOULD be impressed.”

My parents are common-law and I technically have two last names, though one is used more as a middle name than anything else.

A couple women have successfully played pro hockey...

Well Wickenheiser played for a Finnish pro hockey team, and Manon Rheaume tended net for the Lighting in the preaseason in 92-93. Does that count?

Scarborough, actually. She named it after her hometown ;)

And how did we repay him? we named a lake after him, and let his wife name the township I was raised in :p

My dad spent as much of my childhood grounded as I did for being the mastermind behind whatever shenanigan had landed my in hot water. He was always actively trying to make the things I imagined come to life. In fact, the two crossed paths one day during the summer when I was about 6 when my dad offered to help me

I just went to watch the Entourage movie trailer because I hadn’t seen it (or a single episode of the tv show) and I’m seriously disappointed to learn that George Takei was in this douche-bro flick... I feel betrayed!

Yeah our school was average sized as well, we all knew each other (probably only about 150-200 grads).

Most of my friends are high school friends, 15 years removed from graduation we’re still silly close. But graduation itself was never a big deal, it was just something that happened, and some of us went because our parents wanted us to, some wanted to get dressed up, but a large chunk of us couldn’t care less.
