I disagree, I think we have some amazing cinematic showcases in videogames these days, everything from what Hideo does to Naughty Dog stuff, is super cinematic.

Uncharted in fact is the best example in my opinion, I think your definition is very reductive.

I know what that implies, I know it’s a show, literally said show. Doesn’t make it look any better.

I don’t know what it is, whether its the compositing or color grading, but something makes this look cheap for some reason, it doesn’t feel like a big budget show, instead feels like one of those old direct to video type things like forward unto dawn, etc...

Absolutely agree, the skins in games are to expensive, it makes no sense. It would be much more worthwhile to put them around lets say $5/£4 so more people are inclined to get them, and you get a much higher volume of sales.
