It’s as if all credible evidence shows they almost never do!
I think it’s less that people want the dad to be the focus and more that his comments are significant on a broader level. Mindsets like his are a big part of the problem.

It’s so weird how (usually conservative) dudes have created an imaginary alternate universe in which 1) women are the most vocal opponents of women serving equally in the military, and 2) this is literally the last barrier to equality.
