A guy i know just got $300 off the price of a mattress last weekend, literally, because he said “So, that price, but $400 off?” and the sales guy goes, “I can’t do that, but I CAN do $xxx.” I was blown away.

Or...if you sleep with multiple partners? Not everyone is monogamous or in a serious committed relationship. Not sure why this is hard for people to grasp?
