That guy is arguably not an EV driver at this point, period. Not in anything remotely affordable.

Its not that people need a shit load of range or a super fast EV. Its more that the EPAs range estimates tend to be just that, estimates. And they’re often not close to what the manufacturer tells the public. That 232 miles of range is really more like 180-210 miles and thats before you factor in variables like…
I rented a Pacifica hybrid a while back. Had a lot of qualms with it but also had a lot of pros.
As of 2023 EV's are not ideal for everyone. As you illustrated. My recommendation is to buy an EV if you have a place to park and charge ( it's wonderful ) your present vehicle is in need of updating and the available choices fit your needs and budget. We're still at least five years from the market providing choices…
And most people won’t ever buy a minivan, but even the starting price of a Tahoe is far enough below the X that gas savings won’t make up the difference.
Model S LR “full charge” say it’s actually charged to 80% that most people do to save battery life, so 320 miles starting in good conditions. Going from 320 miles to 80 after 70 miles of driving so using 240 miles of range. -20 C is barely subzero in freedom units, -20 F is not uncommon here in MN, and given we don’t…
Really easy NP... even if it had the base engine. But it doesn’t. It has the turbo engine. So this makes it at extra EXTRA NP.
$2500 for a clean working convertible at the beginning of convertible season? Easy NP. OK... it’s a K-Car, but I have a feeling that’s slightly cooler now than it would have been only a few years after it was made.
You don’t have experience with K cars. I mean, come on.
EVERY vehicle can be fun if you know what you’re doing...
THAT is a used car priced right. NP all damn day.
Appreciate your chiming in with facts to counter all the conjecture (outright guessing) that some folks are providing.
I hated this car, but $2500 for a running car that isn’t a beater is NP.
Exactly. You can probably source a used transmission for $250... and when that one dies, find another one to throw in for $175.
I’m surprised the seller isn’t asking more for it. Maybe the car has issues in person that don’t come through in the ad, but based on the info we have it’s a steal. Drop the top and shove your “Thriller” cassette tape in the dash and relive the 80’s whenever you want.
I know it’ll never be more than “Just a K-Car,” but for $2,500, that’s entirely OK. It’ll always be fondly remembered by at least a few people. For what it’s worth, this is probably the OG K-Car at its peak.
Easy NP. Surprised it’s been avaiable for long enough to be noticed here.
$2,500?! Pass me my crown and take me to my fiefdom, all day every day NP.
Car is in great shape, and they’re practically giving it away at that price, plus summer is here, so you get to enjoy it fully? Easy NP!
For a cheap convertible to run as a summer beater? Nice Price.
