Everyone loves to rag on the Journey. But in their last year, a base Journey or Grand Caravan was kind of tempting if you needed a big box on wheels.

I’m guessing that they were sold at a discount or whatever constitutes a discount nowadays. And depending on when these were bought in 2022, interest rates might not have been bad. The prime rate a year ago was only 3.50% compared to 8.00% now.
I’m surprised the Outlander PHEV is not selling well. It seems to be a decent enough car.
lol, Toyota Mirai, I didn’t even know that this was a thing :D
Methane is a fairly clean gas. It’s composed of 4 hydrogen and 1 carbon. You could in theory burn it with minimal emissions. Edit: wait a minute. Thought occurs. We are currently getting Hydrogen from cracking hydrocarbons anyway. Could we do the same with methane? Recovering methane and cracking it would in theory…
How are we calling the Soul an SUV? It’s a classic hatchback in footprint, drivetrain, and use.
A big part of what killed the Scion xB was the 2nd gen redesign that left the fun practicality behind (and then of course the death of Scion itself). It seems like the Soul is following in those footsteps. At that pricing, it will be competing with the Corolla Cross hybrid now.
Cool, but it’s not the proposed alternative fuel that is the problem, it’s the excess methane. Go read the whole Sci Tech article.
Seems like we know how to take hydrogen out of the sky...
historically those are the fuck you and the planet you live on apps.
Sponsored previously by Ford, who is going all in with BEVs, and currently by BP, who are all about “green” hydrogen, but have no “blue” hydrogen in the works.
“It’s going to take a mixture of alternative solutions”
The researchers found that once a certain threshold of hydrogen emissions is surpassed, OH cannot do its job, leading to an overabundance of methane.
So, the laser-focus of reducing tailpipe emissions has other ramifications on the planet that were poorly thought out by the people making these decisions.
Dammit, I want a Pylmouth Prowler now!!! I love those cars. Wish they came with a V8 but they are so cool.
The SRT-4 is a hoot, had one brand new & I still miss that car till this day. I recent had a WS6 Trans Am with the more desirable LS1/6 speed manual combo which also was a blast to drive. Sadly the GM interior is very underwhelming & dated.
Nope. Never again for me. I bought a set of control arms for my wifes minivan off of Amazon. They were built incorrectly and damaged the spindles within a few months. Got to do that job all over again.
Cheap turbos are usually fine, and I have lots of friends that have used them with mixed results. A lot of issues with them smoking is people not using an oil restrictor that they come with and pushing oil past the seals inside of them. I fully plan on using a GT3076 knockoff on my SRT swap k car eventually.
The “cheap OEM parts” reminds me of that old adage about how it’s expensive to be poor. A poor person needs work boots, but can’t afford a good $100 pair. So he buys a $10 pair. But they wear out, so he buys another $10 pair. And so on. Whereas if he had been able to buy the $100 pair from the jump, they’d last much…
This list is incomplete without a 1993 Chevy Cavalier. Period.
