You're Living All Over Me

My cousin had centerpieces with black & white fish at his bar mitzvah. My aunt underestimated what 50 thirteen year old boys would do. Needless to say, it was a disaster. No live animals for any kind of party, PLEASE.

Both of my parents came from poor Catholic families- my mom was 1 of 4, my dad was 1 of 5, huge extended families too. They both knew how tight money was growing up and decided against having more than one. So here I am. Some people act like I need to apologize for it, but fuck them.

Yes to all of this.

Almost all of my work emails to clients start out with “Just wanted to let you know...” or “Just checking in to..” I always assumed I started things like that to sound casual, like a quick note. But the more I use it the more I guess it’s kind of apologetic, like I’m bugging them?

The History of Love. I’ve bought about 5 copies over the years, mostly because I have shitty friends (with the same taste in fiction) who decide to keep my copies. I’ll pick it up every couple of years for a good cry.

That smile though.. Damn

She looks like Elisabeth Moss!

Wow your grandmother is a babe!

Not enough stars in the world for this.

Ok I’m a little teary-eyed at work over this one...

Sorry - as I said below: I’m no one to claim I understand ‘blackness’ or what being black truly entails, so I don’t want to speak for anyone else, or whether being transracial is or is not possible. When I said that “the issue isn’t that she identifies...” I wasn’t trying to say that ‘transracialism’ is acceptable,

Honestly I’m not sure either. I’m no one to claim I understand ‘blackness’ or what being black truly entails, so I don’t want to speak for anyone else, or whether being transracial is or is not possible. I think it’s a new thing society might have to contend with, but at this point I’ll say I’m open to the idea that

I’m sure nobody watches this but.. that (horrible, ie: amazing) ABC Family Show ‘Switched At Birth’ had an episode where the daughter -who was Caucasian, red hair & blue eyes- was going after a scholarship for Latina women. She was raised by her Latina mother in a predominately Hispanic, poor neighborhood and felt

I think that a majority of society still views being transgender is socially unacceptable so I’m genuinely not sure at what you’re getting at?

The issue isn’t that she identifies as being black while physically white, it’s the fabricated lies and background she made up to prove ‘her blackness’. Someone who identifies as a woman while physically a man will say they were in the wrong body, but usually don’t make up fabricated lies about their background to

For what it’s worth, when I was in middle school (and excelling in both math & science) the tech teacher I had told another girl & I - the only two girls in this elective class - on the first day that we didn’t have to turn in homework or labs because “girls don’t like this sort of stuff”. Eleven year old me was so

I would also like to point out the song “Girl In A Country Song” by Maddie & Tae, (also a country song) that talks about the issue of women idolizing all these male country singers, and they’re expected to just be the girl in the song, rather than the one writing them.

I have always wondered about this. As someone who admits to listening to contemporary country music (I know, I know.. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine), I will say that I prefer almost ANY male country singer over any female country singer. In fact, when a female vocalist comes on, I change the radio station every time.

Or have to rally around their own abuser!

And that sister would probably have to raise Incest Rape Duggar baby because it was God’s Will and live with Jim Bob & Michelle forever, now that she’s impure. Wonderful.
