If you’re going to come in here with a corvette as competition, at least bring a c5 with a similar transaxle setup as the cars we are discussing.

Jeepers are a special breed indeed.

Blah

These things are going to hold their value like nobody’s business........

lucky piece of concrete

Back as in front mid or back as in rear? 'Cause the latter will NEVER happen.

A new transaxle was developed so that the rear wheels could be moved 76 millimetres (3 in) backward in relation to the position of the engine, which significantly improves the weight distribution and cornering performance of the new 911. — That said, I was convinced it was more than that but here's your answer.

Have you not read any of the articles that reiterate that this is an all new platform, that the new 911 hadn't been all new since more than a decade ago? How am I supposed to know 'how they did it.' The articles say 4-5 inches closer to the middle.

And forfeit all that torque for the same gas mileage? I think not.

I believe Mid engine is best- from an engineering stand point. No crazy polar moment of inertia whether it manifests in severe understeer (front engined) or severe oversteer (rear engined). Supercars would all be one of those if that were the best option.. Mid engine keeps the mass close to the center of the

Sad story but in this case I don't think it matters... like AT ALL.. :) And I mean that in the kindest of ways.

I love your screen name. That is all.

The turbo is the only logical progression, after this car, in the Cayman line....... patience young Padowan.

a bright yellow TURBOOOOO one.. lol

Because this looks positively pedestrian.... NOT!

oh the hyperbole.

wicked!

You can't appreciate the lines on any color like you can on white.. also white has a tendency to hide dirt- why do you think it's been heralded as the number one fleet color. It also repels heat! That's physics- you can't argue with that; I've tested it... So go on about your stupid preconceived notions about the

I really like your sisters car.. but I don't like the color.

as of right now this car is purely after enthusiasts.... no poseurs... hence the current manual only option. (which I'm pretty sure will change to offer the PDK as well) My point being they might follow suit with that steering wheel you speak of... but right now they don't want to exude that image- it's slightly
