Agreed. I thought it the whole way through.

Microwave: None. Or a switch to turn it off. That’s the correct answer.

We all pay those taxes, so if one person just parks there forever the rest of us don’t benefit. See The Tragedy of the Commons.

He’s wrong. Period. He needs to own it and shut up.

I’m not quite sure why I astound you—it always seems pretty typical. I don’t get into men controlling women’s bodies (or how women aid and abet that) with this issue; power is more of an underlying theme all year.

I just started season 1 after hearing so many good things—it is that good. And I’ve enjoyed seeing some of the old judges and characters from Good Wife! (I had just been thinking about the Chub Hub search engine the week before).

Misogyny aside, this betrays every capitalist principle.

You are working very hard in defending an abuse of trust.

I want to see a squad of AVClub writers that’s all people who remember the 20th century. Three episodes of Barney Miller or whatnot (I did appreciate someone thought of Cheers).

I actually think he is quite a savvy politician and is very aware of just how low the GOP can go. My thinking was that in 2016 he was surprised he got as far against Hillary’s entrenched organization as he did because he knew she was a pro.  He also wouldn’t have made her mistakes (nor have picked up her minority

That was my (poorly written) joke. Trump only “likes” people if they give him something. When Bernie was taking down Hillary, he’s great. When Hillary is a senator in the state he lives or Madam Secretary, she’s great. But....

Vermonter here. I have a number of grudges against Bernie, but I’ve always admired how he will go into the den of his enemies and leave with their being his most ardent supporters.

Hillary came to his wedding.  It’s almost as if Trump thinks it’s all about him.

Wait. I’m reading an article in Deadspin, with the usual Patriots hating headline (fine). But the comments are.... defending the Patriots?

I mention in another post here, I don’t remember much made about Tiger’s Asian background. The original media frenzy and his “I am Tiger Woods” Nike campaign pretty much laid down his being black for us white people who don’t take subtlety. In the ad world he was black, before he started winning and just became Tiger,

White male (51) from very white Vermont here. I’ve long been fascinated by the selling of Tiger throughout his career.

It needed to be said.

Except that golf is the man.

It is not each individual mystery but how each is important to the big picture. Why polar bears and not black bears? Why bears at all? Links. Those numbers should mean something and that should tie this or that all together. We want the world to make sense, not be a series of random mysteries.

I’d like to argue that we use correct terminology.  It’s not a penalty kick, even if you and everyone in your life says it is.  Words matter.  They make the world a better place.
