I remember going back and seeing on the first episodes, where he helps some high school lacrosse player. It was clear that some executive at Fox thought House couldn’t just be abrasive, so they tacked on some sad reflective scene (House standing on the sideline of a lacrosse field, cradling his cane like a stick and

I found a few “Top 10 House Episode” blog entries.  They got me excited to revisit the show and I hit mostly winners.

It’s on Amazon Prime—I got it for the free shipping, now enjoying the media.

Here is a helpful link explaining the “wisdom of the crowd” theory. Not that an actual individual should be making the final decisions, but they can’t be worse than many, many “professionals”.

I want to know more about hydrogen powered vehicles.

Agreed. How many coaches would have tired to stop the Giants in 2011 with a minute left as a source of pride, instead of seeing that giving up the TD gave them time against the inevitable TD? No one understood when Belichick let the clock run against Seattle as they sat on the two yard line.

“Racist” is final.  Period.  And it puts you against every racist cop under your command.  That is to say, he’d be out of a job and replaced by Detroit’s version of Acting Commissioner Rawls.

To offer a contrast: As a white male, had I been pulled over in my town the officer would have written a warning, perhaps a ticket, but probably would have let me drive the block to my home, both because of the cold and to avoid the towing charge. I once had no tail lights (fuse) and the state trooper let me drive the

I just got a rant from my 12 year old. Let me summarize:

Wow. The NHL could have completely capitalized on half the population by just saying “Great job” (even if they didn’t give her any money). Instead, they create the doubt of fixing the event by posting a questionable time (wasn’t there some sort of clock on the video?).  Why draw attention to it all?

I just dropped in to say how much I’ve always loved her hair.

People not giving a damn is why larger entities need to, be it corporations or government.

When John Madden started in the booth he told his producer he felt uncomfortable second-guessing the coach on the field after the play. The producer suggested he say what he would do in that situation before the snap, as if he was coaching against. It changed how announcers covered the game.

Here’s why Adams is an ass: It was a blind shot. Getting tackled is one thing, but getting tackled when you don’t expect it is dangerous. The people in the mascot getup have limited visibility in the first place, so there was no warning.

Update:A Patriots flack described the mascot’s condition as “sore.”

I might be wrong, but it made more sense to me than the heaven/hell dichotomy I grew up with. I’d like to believe we grow better as a society over time.

It was a joke; I get the gist of how agriculture works.  It is sad that it takes something like coffee, or beaches being threatened, for people to bother to even read an article about climate change, much less do something.

60 years. Pfft. Let my kids drink tea.
