There are so many question how things became where they are based on that brief synopsis.

I wasn’t super into Strat-o-matic but my brother was. We actually had a computer program that would do all the score, man on base, stat tracking for the season even.   You still needed the real cards to play but you could play a lot faster and simulate seasons easier.

Yeah, my 8 year old nephew played in a baseball league which used MLB stealing rules. It was stupid even the slowest kid could just steal 2nd and 3rd because 8 year olds have garbage arms but can run ok. The kids had no idea how to properly run bases based on contact.
