To your point, I’ve never had anything that was “computer-like” (eg., actual computers, phones, gaming systems) that didn’t freeze in almost 40 years of buying these things.

I am pretty sure that is what a Saturn ION didn’t look like during production. It might not get the hate if it actually looked like that. 

Counterpoint: The PT Cruiser needed, and deserved, to die. They just replaced it w/something so bad, arguably worse in every measurable category, that people actually looked back on the PT Cruiser with fondness when presented w/the alternative.
