I’d argue that no one would go symmetrical. If any teams were “betting” on the direction you’d essentially end up with 3 packs of cars at every race: chose correct direction, symmetrical, chose wrong direction.

You’d hilariously get a mix of left and right oriented cars from everyone betting on the odds.

I have a nice idea how to fix this “problem”. Exactly 5 minutes before the qualifying/race starts a coin is flipped. The coin decides if the oval is going to be driven clockwise or counterclockwise. The cars cannot be modified in any way after the direction has been decided.

This didn’t sit well with NASCAR for a lot of reasons. It creates further deviation from the Cup cars’ real-world counterparts...

The pay it forward thing has always been the dumbest thing imaginable. It’s performative charity for people who don’t need it. Want to feel good? Donate time or money to an actual cause. Or, as this article wisely suggests, tip the workers.

I’ve seen this near on exact thing happen to a guy with a lifted F650 dually monstrosity. He got stuck trying to get into a flat driveway. Yep, that 2" vertical section at the entrance of a driveway stopped him dead.

Lifting their truck has nothing to do with obstacles, or utility.

Fuck, I could watch bro-dozers slipping on ice all day...

Thank god they didn’t know my friend Brandon was in the car.

Of course this was the first article I read today. Never change, torch. Never change.

Time is the one thing that is immutable and non-transferable in this version of the Universe.

can we talk about this instead?

“specifically, the comedian posted a video to his Twitter feed today in which he bluntly states that “I do not think J.K. Rowling is anti-Semitic. I did not accuse her of being anti-Semitic. I do not think the Harry Potter movies are anti-Semitic.”

I’m seeing far more misogyny than concern about Jews here.

Who needs their car to tell them what year it is?

The piling on is becoming unseemly.

Oh man I’d never seen this. This gave me a chuckle. Also a pang of depression...but mostly a chuckle.

I’m stuck in Covid Standard Time. Today is Wednesday, March 675th, 2020.
