Hey now. Yes, most of the movie is a snoozefest, but dunking on the Bullitt car chase for not being up to modern production value standards is just unfair. It was pretty damn good for its time, and more importantly, it was the first time something like that had been done on the big screen. Without Bullitt, we wouldn’t

I haven’t seen it in a while, but I remember The Italian Job being pretty entertaining.

The Bullitt chase is great, but let’s be honest, the rest of the movie is about as gripping as watching toast go stale. I’d like to see it remade with a plot that I can actually stay awake for.

Oh HELL yes. This is the best couch I’ve ever seen.

It looks to me like the car was trying desperately to evade the van driver in the interest of self-preservation, and was forced to try extreme measures to do so. In any other situation, what they did would be pretty dangerous, but in this case, the alternative was literally being rammed off the road.

Wait, is this video where “pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude” came from, or was it already a meme by this point?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who always hated the look. It’s so over-designed and pretentious, while somehow also being surprising bland. At least Lamborghinis, for all their absurdity, make you go “whoa, that’s striking”. The Veyron just looks like some kind of early 2000s plastic-bubble-aesthetic fever dream.

Well, shit. Over the past couple of years, most of my favorite writers have left this site. I was pretty much just sticking around for Torch.

For a minute I thought it was that car that someone put the entire JC Whitney catalog on. This one actually looks worse.

This is legitimately a fantastic idea. I don’t have any clue how to go about organizing something like this, but I really hope someone does. “Queen of the Hammers” is a great name too.

Well, it can’t be any worse than Fallen Kingdom.

The difficulty the van guy might have living without a car is definitely not as bad as the number of fatal crashes that would be prevented by keeping him off the roads.

I’m actually kind of glad it didn’t, because now the van driver can’t play the victim. The whole incident is on video, and it’s plainly clear who was at fault.

I’m sure this isn’t an unpopular opinion, but anyone who behaves like that van driver should lose their license for life. There’s no excuse for that kind of irresponsibility. That’s someone who has well and truly proven that they are not sufficiently in touch with reality to be trusted with a vehicle.

And for once a cop actually did their job.

Yours is not the only story I’ve heard of this happening. I suspect a fairly large proportion of those trucks have mixed Chevy and GMC branded parts.

Unless you go right to the factory and pick it up. I hear it’s cheaper that way.

Reminds me of a story I heard about a brand new GM C/K truck that said Silverado on one side and Sierra on the other. I suspect American car factories in the ‘70s and ‘80s were a bit slap-dash, even by their own standards.

Now playing

For those who play BeamNG Drive (and if you don’t, you should), there’s a mod that automatically scrambles all the available option parts on a car. This usually results in mismatched wheels, crazy color schemes, missing seats and body panels, unusual engine options, absurd gear ratios, and unexpected accessories and

After weeks (has it been weeks? it feels like months) of doing absolutely nothing, the police are now going “FINE... I guess we’ll do the bare minimum”. They haven’t done nearly enough to be considered “good guys” yet.
