I really, desperately want Alpha to be a real company and not a scam. I love their car designs so much. Please, please turn out to be real.

Maybe I don’t understand how ride-sharing works, but wouldn’t it make more sense for Uber to charge by distance rather than time?

That just tells you the time left and the time you arrived at, though. It doesn’t update in real-time after you arrive. It’s more of a time GPS than a clock.

I swear, there is no situation that XKCD doesn’t have a chuckle-worthy entry for.

I wonder if the DeLorean has a clock in it somewhere that automatically accounts for the time travel? Or does the clock show the time you last left until you manually update it? With all the clocks and stuff in there (including the comically old-fashioned alarm clock that’s always sitting on the dash), you’d think Doc

There. Fixed it. I used to be a big fan of Stewart, but in this case, he was clearly the one who made the connection to anti-Semitism, and projected it onto Rowling. It’s also utterly absurd of him to claim he doesn’t think the Harry Potter books are anti-Semitic after going on a long, unhinged, and very pointed rant

Bold of you to assume they weren’t already in uniform.

It looks... fine? No worse than the current Bolt. I still hate that big black fascia (it’s too big at this point to even call it a fake grille) that most new Chevys seem to have, but this is far from their worst one, and the rest of the car is actually pretty well proportioned. The silver version in the last photo

Well... it looks better than the regular Silverado, at least. Granted, most things do. Don’t get me wrong, it looks nice, but to me, it just looks like a big blue box of reasons to buy a Ford Lightning instead.

If I died from a fall down the stairs, I would 100% want my cat to eat me. Waste not, want not, right?

My local Ford dealer has one prominently on display (a base model on steelies, no less). I’ve yet to see more than that one show up locally. Lots of Bronco Sports, though.

The Grand Tour has felt to me like it was running on fumes from the very beginning, but I did enjoy this special more than I expected to. It’s probably the most competent Grand Tour special I’ve seen so far. That said, even the best of The Grand Tour is on par with a mediocre to average episode of “true” Top Gear.

This raises questions about what the point of him “not being on the show anymore” even is. If he’s still getting paid and he’s still on screen, what exactly has changed? Just him not being on set all the time anymore? How is that a better option than telling him “don’t do shit that makes people uncomfortable anymore

Dealer needs to either pay back the kid of give him a car, full stop. Their first fuckup was hiring this con man, and their second fuckup was letting him pull this stunt right under their noses. Either that or the whole dealer is run by con artists, which isn’t unlikely.

12% reduction in range, eh? Do we get a 12% reduction in price, too, on these already quite expensive cars?

The only reason I’m not in that camp is that they’re still filling up hospitals and wasting time, beds, and resources that should be spent on people with real medical problems, not willfully ignorant plague rats.

What about an EV battery that locks you out of some of the available range in your battery unless you pay extra?

The paint job is a bit loud, but I love the idea of a Leaf drivetrain in a vintage car.

Horace is one of the reasons I don’t consider the 1997 remake canon.

Hey now. Some of the Herbie movies were bad, but the first one was not one of them. If you want to crap on something, crap on Herbie Goes Bananas or the 1997 TV remake.
