I’ve basically accepted that I can’t keep my cars paint perfect. The Mazda6's manual has a section for keeping the paint in good condition...it’s the most terrifying thing to read. It basically advises that I put the car in a windowless crate and move on with my life.

Exactly, “Auto-pilot” has only been available for a short time and multiple accidents have already occurred due to driver's over-relying on the tech that's only supposed to be used as an aid.

While I fully approve of fewer people on the road, it would be nice to get a more scientific report on why teenagers today aren’t as enthusiastic about driving.

I pleaded with my dad not to go with a BHPH car lot but he was desperate and had fallen on hard times. We tried to refinance now that his credit is much higher, but the credit union said that because he owed more than the car was worth, they couldn’t approve him.

When I was 18, a buddy of mine bought a car from one of these dealers against my advice. Lucky for him, the car got totaled in an accident (no one was injured aside from some surface scratches thankfully) shortly after he financed it, the insurance paid the remainder and he learned his lesson.

Not sure about other brands, but in two auto Mazdas I’ve driven downhill, I set the cruise control and to my surprise, it downshifted by itself to avoid going above the set speed.

The real tragedy is that no one records video in landscape anymore.

My car has blind spot monitoring, but that doesn’t mean I still don’t visually check my blind spots. Yes, companies shouldn’t make claims exaggerating their product’s ability, but they also state that their product has the potential to not work as advertised 100% of the time.

Part of it is that OEM’s are offering insane products with a fully backed warranty. The other problems is these tuner shops get too big and forget that great mechanics don’t usually make for good business people.

Serious question, why is the C5 the third least liked Vette? Is it simply because it’s not as nice looking as the C1, 2, 6, and 7?

I just put 4,200 miles on my Mazda6 in a week. Sure, it’s high for such a short amount of time, but I loved almost every minute of it (Interstate driving in the mid-west is a challenge in staying awake).
