I read it as the standard “tough guy” dad thing of being antsy to shoot potential (male) suitors of their daughter. But given the source, it could possibly be that he views a personal arsenal as a prerequisite. Hell, it could even be both.

Every single shred of good will and trust they’ve built up over the past decade with GOG and The Witcher utterly demolished in a weeks time...
So your take is that games you like, but were released over a decade ago (or more), deserve to be randomly brought back in place of completely unrelated games from completely unrelated developers? Somehow it’s BioWare’s fault that Nintendo stopped making F-Zero games? Am I missing something, or did CDPR spin off of…
It’s crazy to me that devs keep seeing people say “Man, I’d love to play [insert usually open world single player game] with my friends!” and then apparently read it as “Man, I’d love to play certain aspects of this game in a semi-competitive PvP setting with an insane grind and most of the things I enjoyed about the…
There’s two different Popeye’s locations I visit.
Troubling social issues aside, Chic-fil-a is merely good. Popeye’s is better, in my opinion. The one by my house has been open for a while now, but it’s always busy. I don’t really get it... but the Raisin’ Canes up the street is also busy all the time, so maybe I just live in an area that really loves fast food…
Nintendo’s fans have made it clear that they will hoover up anything they do regardless, so why spend any amount of money/effort over the bare minimum?
When is law enforcement going to aggressively go after these nincompoops?
Nah, it would have been fine to delay it again. People who were avidly waiting for it were half-jokingly expecting it anyway, and with the pandemic nobody of import would have really batted an eye.
Yeah... I mean, like I said... I don’t come here for the music content anyway, but what struck me after reading the ballots article was just how damn similar everything was. It’s really weird to me to see 10 people in virtual lockstep musically. Even among the friends I have who generally share my musical taste, we’d…
Very true, but it’d be cool to see even a passing mention of something metal/metal-adjacent on these lists for once.
I just went and looked at the ballots out of curiosity. It looks like there’s only 10 people involved with this list, and the lists are very homogeneous. One person had Yves Tumor on their “next 10" (a band I’m not aware of but the name stuck out since you mentioned it).
I’m tired of the perfect standing in the way of the better.
On one hand, you can’t force people to like things they don’t like, but on the other... it gets kind of frustrating to consistently look at these lists (and the other lists they put out through the year) and see essentially no coverage given to any heavier music.
Bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time... definitely top 5, possibly top 3, of any genre. I love everything about it... I love the setting, the switch from Victorian to cosmic horror. The trick weapons... everything. I even gladly overlook obvious performance issues. If they had remade Bloodborne…
I’m enjoying myself quite a bit so far, playing with two different groups of friends and making progress (what you derisively call “seeing numbers go up”) on multiple characters.
It kind of blows my mind how much good will CDPR generated with one game. I don’t have an opinion or argument on whether it’s deserved or not - I played Witcher 2, but not Witcher 3 and likely never will - but I think it’s kind of odd.
I think the big difference between WoW (and other MMO’s, but I’ll speak specifically about WoW here) and Destiny (to keep the comparison going) is that the story quests are just... not that big of a part of the game.
I have started leveling up 2 alts after hitting 60, and I think the way I’m going to do it going forward is to just use Threads of Fate to dodge the campaign completion requirement.
There’s really no reason to replay them. They mostly aren’t that different than regular quests... certainly not enough to want to replay them specifically, and the rewards are generally fairly limited. Anything cosmetic would be awarded to your entire account after the first time anyway, so the only real repeat reward…
