There’s a workaround for it, once you get to/kill the boss, you can just quit to the menu and load back in. It’ll put you at the New U station right by the boss, with the boss respawned.  No need to clear more than once, and even then you don’t really need to clear.  It’s easy enough just to run through to the boss.

Just a general tip for farming bosses like Katagawa Jr. that don’t have a fast travel point close, once you get there and kill the boss, you can quit to the menu and then continue, you’ll respawn at the New U station outside the arena with the boss respawned. If you’ve got the game on a SSD it takes like... 30 seconds…
