It's been revealed, though, that most people paid $500-$2000 for VIP passes because they couldn't sell higher priced packages and kept giving out deals to get people to come. VIP passes to Coachella are $900.

Yes, it was entirely them, they were the first and only people to do this, and the entire electorate saw this and were impacted by it. BTW South Park's average audience is about 1.5-2 million people overall.

That top publicity photo shouts all the charm and hilarity of an Adam Sandler movie.

That sounds more like common things for shitty students to do, no matter what they're studying. Is he highly respected in the community and/or making millions of dollars now? Or are you just basing your entire view of artists on a single anecdotal experience you had with an art student?

I was referring more to her saying he was the first black person she saw on TV who wasn't an athlete or playing a criminal. (And I'm not doubting that's true, I'm just saying there were plenty of black people on TV at the time that weren't athletes or playing criminals)

Really? There was the Cosbys, 227 and The Jeffersons (in syndication), Thea, Martin, In Living Color…not only were there quite a few black people on TV at the time that weren't athletes or playing criminals, there were a number of shows with casts that were almost entirely black.

Fair enough, it was from early on in their career, but they did pass out their demo tapes at shows and encourage people to copy and share. It's more pointing out the irony (and hypocrisy) that they were instrumental in shutting down a service that was spreading that same kind of awareness to smaller bands on a much

Right, Lars was personally affected by my one download of a shit song after the thousands of dollars I had cumulatively spent on Metallica. There was no other way to sample an album, it's not like it was all over the radio, and I was especially poor at the time. Once you opened a CD, you couldn't return it. If you

I had been a hardcore Metallica fan for well over a decade at that point - had bought every album, including a number of Japanese imports, had about 2 dozen t-shirts, went to every concert when they were in town. I downloaded No Leaf Clover on Napster because I wasn't positive I wanted to buy the entire S&M album yet,

Saw them a couple weeks ago. They are, indeed, red hot.

Ween's always had a penchant for writing songs from the POV of wretched scumbags. In addition to this, there's the father in a father/son non-consensual incestuous relationship (Don't Get 2 Close 2 My Fantasy), the boyfriend who just beat the shit out of his girlfriend (Gabrielle), the violent alcoholic pirate

It was my least favorite endeavor of theirs. Brule somehow transformed from a socially inept tipster on Awesome Show to "full retard" in Check it Out. It was a lot harder to laugh at. Also, just adding "r" to every noun stopped being funny about 5 minutes in to the first episode.

My personal favorite is Majek Fashek's version. Medeski Martin and Wood play a haunting/mournful instrumental that might give you chills, but Majek Fashek brings the party out of the song. Also recommended for humor's sake: Type O Negative's "Hey Peter."

I actually spent time watching these…and found one of the ads - purportedly made with "Actual User Generated Content" starred Thomas Middleditch, aka Richard Hendricks. It's #6/10 on the playlist, or right here. https://www.youtube.com/wat…

Girls. Made it all the way to episode 8, for some reason I liked it up til that point but was groaning my way through it until the 2 girls started making out on the floor of that apartment. Done!
