@MaliciousH: I think the idea is that it just uses regular CAT cables, and just transmits the data in a different way. Which would make complicated wiring so much easier thanks to items like Homeplug.

@BadassSailor: It's not really the same. Cars are licensed items. They have security systems to stop just anyone using them (keys). Not quite the same as a relatively inexpensive item that's easy to obtain online, easy to conceal and has the potential to cause damage worthy of at least "critical hit" status.
