@azpat: Yeah I agree.
@azpat: Yeah I agree.
@Jaysus: Beat me to it...but well described.
@Tyrun101: have you looked at this article? [lifehacker.com] It covers the basic setup, but not system stats.
10 - Samurize - AWESOME!
@AskTheAdmin: It isn't a task in the taskbar. It is an extension and won't die unless you kill Firefox.exe. I've used it and went back and forth about its worth. For me, BlockSite [addons.mozilla.org] was a lot more to my liking.

@illn00b: Maybe more knowledgeable people know the answer, but couldn't AutoHotKey do this? For instance, checking to see if the target window was Outlook related, then strip formatting from copied text? (I am not yet good enough with AHK, or else I'd try it.)
@bradcg: I did this to a friend with a loaded desktop. Took him over a half hour to close everything. Simple, fast, wonderful. We still joke about it.
Okay, here's a question for the masses... Do any of these programs allow finding of *ALL* of a certain resolution picture, regardless of directory? For example: Suppose I have these folders:
This tip may not work if you are inside a network that blocks public proxies. I know because I have a ...zealous... network administrator.
Lifehacker: great post. Keep the green tips coming!
@Lizard_King: I love this method. My friend used it in a tucked away, downstairs closet. It looked like someone machine-gunned his wall. He, however, never patched the holes. Made me laugh every time I saw it.
Seriously, just use TrueCrypt. I split my relatively small tablet drive into two partitions: 1 for XP (and any tasks needing ABSOLUTELY maximum hard drive speed), and another much larger one for my data. Outlook, music, firefox, etc, etc, typically. I also have a 10.4" screen (yes, I know. It's like a postage stamp. But it's an…
@ryanchild292: I believe you misunderstood me. My ING account makes around 3.5% interest and my friend's HSBC account makes around a half percent higher (~ 4.0%). I was mentioning that I don't know what trade-offs one makes for another 0.5%.
Setting up a high-yield online savings account is a simple task and really is fantastic to use. I did this a few months ago with ING Direct and have been thrilled. The interest rates are a bit depressed lately (though this is the same everywhere). When I've called ING, I spoke to a real English-speaking person…
@Myron: I absolutely agree with you.
Additionally, some articles have vastly more information in foreign language pages. If you aren't finding the information you need, it might pay to use a web translator (such as google's) to read the alternate page.
@doctorj: EXCELLENT POINT!!!! (about just booting XP)
