Like, remember that game Wet from like, ten years back? That game was not good, but I played the hell out of it. Why? Something about it was fun. It was absolutely a guilty pleasure.

It’s not in the top 5 Marvel movies, for me. Like, it’s fun, but it’s hardly an amazing masterpiece.

To me, a guilty pleasure is something that isn’t good, but I like it anyway. Not because a critic somewhere told me it wasn’t good, but because I watch/play it and I know it’s not good. But maybe some part of it appeals to me, or appeals to a younger, dumber version of myself.

True!

Yeah I’ll never understand the “burn the witch” mentality. If I’m not interested in something, I just don’t engage with it and move on with my life.

Yeah, this is where I am. It’s a bunch of pixels moving around. Sure, it’s gross, and I have no interest in it, but if someone does? It’s their money, and it’s literally hurting no one.

Not even remotely true.

The cuteness helps, but I honestly just like her phasing ability. It’s the perfect “AHH I’M BEING SHOT” getaway power.

Great article! Very much captures my feelings about the game as well.

The particular guns don’t matter too much to me. I just need a single-fire for long/mid range and either a shotgun or bullet hose for short range. As long as I have those two I do alright.

I think I drove 7.5 miles an hour on the entire way home.

My wife, during a similar class, explained that she was doing an elective C-section and formula-feeding from the get-go.

Oh, I’m aware, I was offering another viewpoint.

Let me add another angle on in, then: I don’t care at all if my protagonist is a different race or gender than me. I understand it’s not an audience surrogate, it’s a fully realized fictional character.

I think a lot of the problem — and this is a problem with the internet in general — is that reading something in text form does something different to our brains than just hearing someone say something at a party.

Yeah, like, holy shit. People are really going out of there way on this one.

“When seconds count, the police are minutes away.”

“Everyone I have a philosophical disagreement with is a cold-blooded murderer.”

Ding ding ding. Factor out suicide and gang killings and you get a very different picture.
