"dingamagoo" is one of those jokes that, if you're in an SNPP mindset, seems lazy and stupid—-it's just a silly word, so what? But if you're in the right headspace for it, it is the *perfect* silly word, mostly because it already sounds so gross that it's not like being grossed out should make it harder for you to

This guy is witty. That's what I like about him. The wit.

How dare you. How dare you criticize the man who wrote "Poop and a Pee Now".

I actually didn't care which shows would be on the roster for this summer—-I just cared who'd be providing the coverage, and I notice one very important name missing. To wit: Dennis Perkins. Perky D, or Grimey, as he likes to be called, is my favourite TV writer/critic around these parts. What do we want? PERKY D.

Where am I supposed to say, "Why does Ross, the largest friend, not simply eat the other five?"

Agreed, it's sort of Burnsie's fault. My favourite part, of course, is the "Johnson or Johnstone"—-like neither Homer nor anyone else in the plant could find out the guy's name.

Boy Meets World theme song: worst sitcom theme lyrics ever? It's like they paint themselves into a corner with each line and then do an increasingly more terrible job getting out of the corner.

That's my favourite thing about Diane and Will. They were at each other's throats more often than not, but then when she makes a bad business decision after his death and calmly says she did it because "I just lost my best friend", you realize: holy crap, they *were* best friends, despite everything. And, actually,

This is what I simultaneously dislike about Alicia (as a character) and admire about Alicia (as a creation of some very smart writers): she genuinely doesn't see the advantages she has over people. She thinks, "You and I face off with the partners - you, barely old enough to shave; me, the governor's wife - and we'll

My favourite moment of this season was when Will spent a long time - I think nearly a minute - just mentally reacting to the news that Alicia and Cary were flipping. I can't think of another show that would trust its viewers that much. My second-favourite moment was - it might have even been the same episode, I can't

It's also complicated by the knowledge that this is Magic Kalinda, and if she wants Cary to get off her, she can just twitch her nose and he'll float away. I think they absolutely had to throw the "I'll hurt you" thing in, just to underscore that Kalinda very easily could take Cary if it came down to it. But…it

I agree with Sonia—-he's always been a just-above-peripheral player on the show, and in some ways, that sucks, because he's great, but…this show has a deep bench. It's not like he's the only good thing about a terrible show and like they're wasting him. He's just the seventh-most-visible character on a show with

I feel like the whole thing is a meta-joke, and I love it. They need a random peripheral character to be the sort-of third-in-command at Florrick/Agos. His only character trait is that he's somewhat similar to Cary. This show is usually excellent at fleshing out its universe and supporting cast, and I love that when

Oh, I agree with every word you said, and should have been clearer in my own comments. The issues discussed by that episode were really interesting. It was just the *song itself* that I found annoying, and they repeated it over and over and over and over in all of its iterations until I was almost ready to turn the

Agreed about the mix of comedy and drama! From that perspective, the high point of the season was Will and Alicia taking a break from fighting to talk about Grace's school trip.

I've heard (and honestly, I can't remember if this was a production announcement or just some guy on the internet making stuff up) that "Alicia becomes a politician" would be the end of the show, so as a fan, I'm hoping it doesn't happen, just because I don't want the show to end.

Agreed. Kalinda is a magical elf who wins legal cases through magical elfery. Cary is a climber who is gradually growing a conscience, but was pretty soulless in the show's early days. It is implausible to me that either of these people would have this sort of quasi-romantic relationship, especially with each other.

I'm a huge Cary fan, and I think it's really sweet that he started out as a sleazy opportunist and has now become the rational, kind guy who generally does the right thing (i.e., standing up for the paralegals in this episode, his fight with Diane in "Hitting the Fan", etc.).

If by "episode" you mean "past ten years." Of all the things that infuriate me about modern Simpsons, the declining *quantity* of jokes bugs me almost as much as the declining quality. It's like they come up with wacky premises (Homer reunited with fireworks man! And then they sing a song!) and then forget to flesh

I love CSNY, but modern Simpsons has amongst the worst tits on TV. I continue to watch out of loyalty and habit, but of everything I watch on TV, past and present, modern Simpsons is what I enjoy least. Are there any shows you watch that you would say modern Simpsons is better than?
