I'm usually captain of team "to hell with the show's mythology, just make me laugh for half an hour a week". And I agree: this was one of the weakest HIMYMs ever on that front. Yes, there were a few funny moments. But for a show that is often laugh-out-loud funny, this episode was just sort of there. From that

"Anna Faris, who triumphed in so many terrible big-screen comedies…"

Maybe I just wasn't paying that much attention - it's Family Guy - but I don't remember *any* jokes about the family not caring about Brian's death. I agree that they weren't shown to care, but I also feel like they weren't shown to *not* care.

I loved Vinny's Brian costume and political views.

Well, this review explains a lot. As I often do with modern Simpsons, I had it on in the background while working. "Viewed" that way, the episode seemed…content-light, shall we say? Usually even the blandest of television grabs my attention to some degree, at some point. In this episode…there was something about Lisa

Sims, what did you do with the rest of John Goodman? Holy crap, that picture.

Not to mention the seniors in the back who like him!

I can't tell if you're sassing me or if you're actually from someplace where "-ary", "-airy", "-erry", and "-arry" aren't all the same sound. Either way, you are much more evolved than I.

"nifty" may have been the problem.

Semi-derail: I'm not a poly expert either, but I am a "monogamous jealous person who spent a torturous year pretending to be fine with his partner sleeping with other people" expert, and… And…yeah, there's a broad spectrum, poly relationships, open relationships, etc. etc. etc., but I do not recommend doing the thing

What are your other options, chief? That's not rhetorical; I can't think of any. If you have any, then, you know, consider them…but your question, as I'm understanding it, is, "So this person I have no way of contacting, should I proceed as if I have no way of contacting her?" The answer to which is, "Uh, yes."

My boyfriend thought that was really stupid. Oops, I'm just randomly lying to pad out the length of my comment - actually, it was me who thought that.

re a)., I've heard of almost none of the Hatesong people. That's the biggest problem with this feature.

Is the third one named Lil Scowly, by any chance?

I'm from Canada and can't imagine how you'd pronounce these words differently.

IT'S BEEN

I actually agree both with the reviewer and the dog from Duck Hunt on this one. Family Guy is written off by critics (accurately) for being lowbrow racism-for-the-sake-of-racism bullshit, but a few times a season, buried in there somewhere is a unique comic voice. "Train on the water, boat on the tracks" is a great

That was the point of the joke, though: making fun of people who think "before sliced bread" means "before bread could be sliced at all". I thought it was actually about as witty as Family Guy gets these days.

No, I just zipped my cakehole.
