Important question: was that Jon Cryer or Alan Harper? Either way, I agree, he's nobody.

I find her line readings…distractingly Evelyn Harper-y. Just me?

You can't remember "The House Bunny"?!

Walla Walla. Keokuk. Seattle. Brooklyn. Texas. Homer!

The best part is, it feels like that, but actually, it's packed with recurring jokes that you only get if you've seen the whole series, but they don't make it feel like "what the hell is going on here?" if you haven't. (I'm looking at you, Arrested Development.)

Ted thinks every woman he meets (up to and including Becky from Roseanne) is a mythical perfect woman. Even if the mother were…I don't know, Roseanne from Roseanne…he'd think she was perfect.

So, wait. Are they petty narcissists or are they too nice to be funny?

@bertlingo:disqus 's list was good, but short. I'd also nominate…literally all of the sitcoms ever. Seriously, Snidely: is there a sitcom that isn't about…all of that stuff you said?

1. Would Canada do?

Quit bein' a cup-and-ball hog.

That wasn't part of the deal, Blackheart! That wasn't part!

It's bizarre how often THAT comes up in normal conversation for ME. …wait, it's not that bizarre at all.

@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus How do you know so much about Canada? I'm oddly flattered. I do have to say, though, that our prime minister is more like the Canadian Newt Gingrich.

From now on, I randomly blurt, "In fact, it's a big deal for me to see a kangaroo!" in response to pretty much any stimuli.

Every week, somebody brings up a moment from the episode that seemed really weak at the time, but now seems better than the past 15 years' worth of Simpsons combined. This is mine. At the time I was all, "Are we to believe Hitler is still alive and relatively hale and hearty, some fifty years after World War II?" But

Kangaroos don't wander down the street?! :(

Hey, pal! Did you get a load of the nerd?

It's the guy's accent.

Keep watching the skis!
