Defintely—baseball too. Why send a scouts around the country to see 1 kid from all different teams when you can wait for summer showcase tournaments and see them all playing together and against equal competition.
This is becoming more and more true for lots of recruits. High school season is for fun and the rest of the year in a club sport is where the real work and recruiting takes place.
