Boeing wants to be agile like the tech sector, so they move fast, break things, and turn their users into beta testers.
Boeing said they’re not doing layoffs, but their supply chain is a big question mark right now. One of their suppliers is in my town, and the news sounds uncertain.
While it’s true they need to make engineering changes, the more important changes are at the management level, who rubber-stamped this in the first place. The culture at Boeing needs to change.
About 18 months ago got on an amazing clean Southwest 737 MAX jet in SFO and the flight attendant came on the intercom and said, “Congratulations everyone this is the first revenue flight for this plane!” I thought to myself, “Oh cool, I’m a test passenger”. I have this dream of putting together a car charity/ministry. We’d buy old cars on Craigslist, fix them up, then connect with local organizations to get them to people who need a reliable car for a year or two. People getting out of prison, human trafficking victims, struggling single moms, recovering addicts, etc. In…
Looking at its delipidated nature (and inevitable rust in the building) you could just gift it to David Tracy
I’d shove a couple of cots in it, and then register it on Air BnB as an authentic serial killer experience weekend.
You could make a hat, or a brooch, or a pterodactyl...
