Ah, must have not processed that moment during the action. Was disappointed the big white, hairy alien didn't pull out the giant blaster cannons his action figure comes with and blast the AT-ST during that battle.

Also, why does Cassian shoot the Jedha rebel who is about to throw a grenade at the hovertank during that battle. I understand he's shady, but what was the point in that? Trying to get captured on purpose by Saw's men?

I loved how they portrayed the Rebellion as nervous about confrontation, but certain factions saying "F it, let's fight". Admiral Raddus coming up with the idea to have a hammerhead corvette push the disabled Star Destroyer into the other was awesome! Showed brilliance in the time of desperation - a true rebel trait!

Written for purely wind band, no strings, which I found to be an interesting orchestration choice considering most composers go for the lush, homogenous sound of full

Palpatine killed Savage and took Maul captive.

Malachor apparently is popping up in The Force Awakens also, albeit indirectly. Kylo Ren's lightsaber is inspired from a model used during "The Great Scourge of Malachor", according to the official Visual Dictionary, which is canon.
