It’s an odd mix of things that I didn’t know I wanted. The Tetris-like cargo management, the increasing hallucinations if you stay out in the fog too long (watch out for phantom rocks!), and I personally find the core loop satisfying, even the way the boat controls.

Can’t wait for the prequel:

Yeah, there’s research showing foot and bike traffic spends significantly more money than car traffic.

I walked around Mesa - I think it was 105F or so, full sun afternoon, and dew-point of 30F. Seemed really nice compared to Saint Louis with a dew point of 90F. The only oddity was that I didn’t get sweaty, I just became crusted with salt (OK, not really visible, but I could taste it on the back of my hand to check.)

Tucson is significantly cooler than phoenix in all senses of the word.

Let me ask you this- if all the places you drive in a day started charging you for parking (your office, the grocery store, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, that cool new restaurant, etc) would you still be interested in driving as much? Like, it now costs you 7.50 to park at the grocery store. $3.50 for the privilege

So you hate trucks and SUVs, but you also hate the quintessential anti-SUV hatchback (Prius). And you want to see more PT Cruisers?

I can guarantee you there are already many people in Buffalo and Boston who get around just fine with no cars.

Or drive around wasting gas for 10 minutes searching for a spot just so they can park 50 feet closer to the mall.

As much of a shithole as Phoenix is and as much as it should be ground into dust, the sun does in fact set there occasionally.

And they’ll gladly park half a mile away from the door.

I don’t understand.

I don’t agree that ‘A majority of Americans’ want car free neighborhoods, but I think a lot of people do, and even more would like ‘car-light’ or ‘car optional’ neighborhoods.

being a broken mess and people complaining about Denuvo aren’t the same thing, and most of those are just Denuvo. You can thank pirate kiddies for that shit

Then you get the very last bit of the game, which is *jarring*.

“But stock speculation is also just buying things on paper that you’re just going to sell to someone else hoping the value goes up!!!”

Even if powered by entirely green energy there is still a finite amount of energy, and it still wastes the energy that is generated, meaning that it puts additional stress on the electrical grid. If 94% of your energy is produced by green energy, and you are powering crypto, that means you’re further from the 100%

That’s why this is the one scam I wouldn’t feel bad about. The victims are literally begging to be ripped off. Unfortunately a lifetime spent not scamming people has left me unprepared to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

How do you say “Upper middle class with overextended credit people’s car” in German?"

Lets count this fucking idiots colossal dick moves, any one of which is probably enough to get this idiot off the road forever...
