Blech, I hate those purple Doritos.  Cool Ranch = heaven and Nacho Cheese = pretty good.  You can keep the rest.

I watched The Muppet Show religiously back then, but I can’t remember his episode specifically. (I think Alice Cooper may be the main celebrity appearance I remember.) However, prior to that, we did sing “Day-O” in my school music class.

I am pretty sure I saw Jaws 3-D in the movie theater then, but I have no memory of the plot, which I’m guessing was something like “shark terrorizes swimmers/beach town”.

If an English speaker pronounced the 2nd word of Louis Vuitton with a wee- sound, I suspect I would have no idea what they were talking about.

Ed’s not dead...yet.

I found it distracting that I kept expecting the news that the dad had died, since the actor died, but it wasn’t there. I can understand why they wanted to avoid another death in Sam’s family for plot purposes, but I feel like I’m going to be constantly waiting for that shoe to drop.

I adored Judy’s books in childhood, & I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary.  If I had known it was possible to write to Judy Blume when I was a kid, I probably would have done so.

I have a relative who is a welder. His high school had welding classes, so I think he did get a job in the field shortly after graduation.

The Carpool Karaoke on Apple + seems to be largely Corden-free. I haven’t watched them all, but Sandra Oh + Duran Duran and Nikki Glaser + Wilco were my favorites of the ones I watched.

I always though they were meant to be strip clubs, just with an arty bent.

I can’t remember if the movie ever references the character’s exact age. I would have thought she was meant to be in her early 20's.

Most White people will have an idea or an educated guess where at least some of their ancestors came from in Europe. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for most Black people who are descended from slaves, by virtue of the system of slavery.

I wind up rewatching (and singing along) every time it’s on Turner Classic Movies, which is often.

I read this book and would have been interested in watching a movie version, but 7 episodes?  That’s like 3+ movies.

I assume rural communities often involve driving long ways to get to anything.

Yes, it seemed heavy on Automatic For the People & New Adventures in Hi-Fi for my taste. I still bought all their albums, because there were still usually a couple of good songs on each, and I probably liked Monster more than a lot of critics, but REM was on a downward trajectory for me at that point.

Did he sue U2 too?

Any kind of fry is fine with me.

Depending on where they lived, it all may have been perfectly legal.

My kid likes Takis, hot Cheetos, Cheez-its, and the cheesy Goldfish. I don’t like any of these (I love cheese, but the faux cheez flavors don’t do it for me), so whatever doesn’t get eaten in a timely manner, just sits there and takes up space on my shelf. :-(
