I like Tom Petty, but I could happily go through life without ever hearing Don’t Come Around Here No More or Mary Jane’s Last Dance ever again. When he got into doing detailed videos, his songwriting went downhill.

I don’t know all of Rihanna’s catalog, so I enjoyed it more when she was singing songs that I actually knew. In the middle there, it started to seem a bit like a dull aerobics class with all those dancers in unison.

Coke Zero tastes coffee-like to me.  Not really like actual Coke.

I liked Amy Schumer’s cooking show. It was refreshing that she admitted knowing very little about cooking, and at least she is funny enough to carry a show.

Yeah, I don’t think I’d find anything with aliens that depressing, because it’s clearly fiction.  I get depressed just thinking about Sophie’s Choice, and I couldn’t bring myself to watch Precious, because the description was depressing enough as it was.

I don’t particularly like the lettuce at Chipotle, and I can’t imagine what on their menu I would want to put on top of lettuce to make a salad.  I wouldn’t want anything hot on a salad, and salsa or guac don’t sound appealing either.  Cheese is about all I could think of, and I’m not going to pay the price of a bowl…

I would have accepted any of the Valentine’s episodes of The Middle, but my favorite is probably when Mike volunteers in Brick’s class and Brick has a crush on a classmate.

Why would anyone want salad dressing at a Chipotle?  I had no idea they had salad.

Friday Night Lights the TV show is a million times better than the movie.

The conservative’s favorite “news” channel is pretty much constant misinformation.  People who don’t watch the news are better informed than people who watch Fox News.

Undeclared was post-2000 and cancelled too soon, a la Freaks & Geeks.

Politically correct fizzled out and was replaced by woke, so I imagine woke will fizzle out someday too.

The brother seems kind of heartless to me, if the rest of the family is still holding out hope that he’ll somehow survive and the brother is giving interviews about how he thinks he’s dead. At some point, barring a miracle, they will probably agree with the brother, but they’re not there yet.  Maybe save the public…

I was recently trying to make Annie’s mac & cheese when I discovered I was out of milk. I used heavy cream, and it came out similarly to when I used milk, although maybe a little creamier.

My kid likes the Annie’s Mac & Cheese, but is bothered by lumps. I whisk the cheese powder & milk together in a separate small bowl when I put the water on to boil and let it sit there. I whisk the cheese/milk mixture in with the butter in the hot pan, and that takes care of any remaining lumps.
