@haydenphb: Linux. I use ArchLinux but you can accomplish this with any Linux OS. And probably Mac OS as well. The catch is that its all running in screen so they are all command line interface applications.
Home server! ssh in and connect to RSS, IRC, IM, email, torrent. All running 24/7 and accessible from anywhere!
