I tell my husband that we can only die like the old couple in The Notebook. When we’re 112. And still pretty healthy for our age.

Well, this made me cry.

This is such a beautiful tribute. What a horrible loss for her and their children.

We had. Wedding with 40 guests, and no bridesmaids, groomsmen or anything. The party was for our guests, so we wanted everyone to wear what they want, enjoy themselves, and not have any jobs or responsibilities.

This is my second time around and quite honestly it would feel tacky to have someone stand next to me for ‘support’? I’m a grown ass woman.

THIS IS BRILLIANT.

I, too, had the misfortune to be involved with someone leading a double life. ANY PERSON saying this woman ‘should have known’ something was afoul in Denmark deserves to be spat on. A grifter will do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes to get what they need from you. It's nice to insult her intelligence when

True story - my dad had a secret family 20 minutes down the road from where i lived with him and my mum, complete with a sister I had never met. He only came clean about it after i moved to australia after my mum passed away 6 years ago. I wasn’t too surprised that he was cheating, as for a long time it had felt like

When I get scammy sales phone calls that say things like “a friend referred you to us”, I say “Oh my God I’m in witness protection, I need to call Agent Barns right away!!”

Wait, what? A Mercenary and a Prostitute? Damn, I’m kind of impressed with the range of skills.

I recall a friend telling me (many years ago) that Navy nuclear subs used to have two crews, a Blue crew and a Gold crew, which alternated. While the Blue crew was at sea for several months, the Gold crew was ashore for training, etc.

  1. Seems it did raise red flags which was why she was investigating his facebook page. It’s not impossible she suspected something before but didn’t have the evidence she needed. She may have even talked her self (perhaps with his assistance) into thinking she was being paranoid or overly jealous.

One of my earliest memories is of the day I transferred to pre-k or kindergarten at a public school. I had been at some sort of private daycare. I don’t remember why I transferred in the middle of the year, but it probably had to do with money.

I actually found out via Tumblr that other countries don’t pledge to their flags and governments. A lot of the people were like, “Wait, this thing actually exists?! I thought that was just made up!”

One nation, under God, indivisible, praise Jesus, with liberty and justice for all Christians who aren’t homos or commies because those aren’t real Americans anyway. Amen.

Thank you. I love my outrage served with a big laugh!

I hate the Pledge of Allegiance even without “under God”! Making little kids pledge allegiance to a flag feels so totalitarian. Like, they might as well add another sentence where the kids chant, “...And I promise to rat out my parents if I ever hear them criticizing this nation, Amen*.”

I don’t think the headscarves themselves are harmful; the ideals behind it are, absolutely. I wonder if “reclaiming the headscarf” is a thing, like reclaiming the n word. Maybe some Muslim women don’t wear headscarves because they feel like every woman should in the name of modesty. Maybe they’ve reclaimed the

Yeah, the separation of headscarves and state is right there in the Constitution. Do you guys think the school board spokeswoman is equally adamant about the separation of church and state when it comes to kids singing Christmas carols in school?
