Heh. I just watched that show 10 years 'late'. Ray Stevenson was fantastic.

I get the feeling watching the show that most of the roles are not worthy of the actors playing them but the actors in some cases are making the roles bigger by sheer force of talent.

But then we'd have to've read the books and we no wanna do dat. I tried the first book and my review was:

Some roles define an actor forever. And not always in a good way. Since her tawdry complicity in that CIA propaganda piece Zero Dark Thirty, I'd say Jessica Chastain should hang up her thespian's robes and limited talent and be a hair model or something.
