I always found it best to slide the shifter into first while I was almost to a complete stop, but most times I was already coming from second gear, so it would slide into gear smoothly. Those damn t-56s.

Hate to play bad cop here, but where’s the part about the money spent on clutch changes? Looking at a few hundred in parts alone and a day shot doing it, but I’m pretty sure 90% of owners will pay to have someone else do it and it will set them back around $2000 a pop at the dealer. Seeing as how most Mustang owners…
And if you have an unsynchronized first (as I do), shift into second before going into first. No need to release the clutch in second, just a quick stop there on the way to first. Took me a while to learn that little trick.
for some perspective on the size...
“The program should be structured to benefit drivers in California and across the nation, not enable the settling defendants to enter or influence the markets for (zero emission vehicle) charging and fueling equipment and services,” the letter said.
Costs are costs, whether they are upfront or not. What matters is the total expenditure over the time of ownership. And that is determined largely by how much you will be driving. For my money, if I only needed to travel 1,000 to 1,250 miles per month, I wouldn’t need a car at all. And that is right in the range that…
Good point, but your comparison was bolt to model 3. Also, it’s only cheaper assuming gas stays at $2 a gallon over the course of ownership, if we see $4/gallon again the ev quickly becomes a better finacial decision.
Why? GM of the last 5 years has been more innovative, higher ranked in quality, more reliable, more profitable and more financially stable than Ford.
This car seriously had all the makings of a Nissan 370Z, Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, Infiniti G37, etc competitor. If you only look at the spec sheet, this car had everything it needed... but...
I’m always down for more Space Vikings. And a Titan? sure why the hell not. Praise the Machine God and all that jazz.
The Fiero was mid-engined? Huh, didn’t know that. If I had been a gearhead at the time, I might have been much more interested in it.
Exactly.
This exactly:
They don’t have a clear indication of how the step system works, and that system doesn’t even currently work and it’s been broken for weeks with no fix in sight.
The breakdown posted about the egg system and the lack of response there is also disheartening.
Now they are griping because we’re finding ways…
That’s probably more a function of running conditions, consistently “high” rpms with more airflow and less load. It’s not that you can’t make power without smoke, but it’s not as easy and the dark exhaust definitely doesn’t mean it’s making less power.
No, I get you. I’m on board with all that. But I think that the total emissions difference from people modifying emissions equipment on their cars is probably a drop in the bucket compared to bigger issues, such as OEMs selling non-compliant cars by the hundreds of thousands.
Truly GORGEOUS.... but you can’t wear your wedding band alone. Sometimes you want a simpler look without a stone (gardening, working out, etc)
Here’s my Pokemon GO story for the day:
I had a coworker who was the same way. He insisted any pickup without an 8' bed was useless since you couldn't carry full sheets of drywall. Mind you, were are both white collar office dwellers, not tradesmen. While it would be nice on occasion to have that capability, I would need only need once a year at most.
Ya I try to frame it as “using your vote strategically to influence the election towards the most positive outcome.”
Wouldn’t a subway ruin the colonial re-enactment?
