I was IT for a Fortune 500, and now work for an MSP that handles small-medium business. Tape is largely dead and for good reason. Everything we do goes to an on-prem NAS specifically designated for backups, and then replicated to either cloud or sent to an off-site NAS depending on the client.

When my old Toro push-mower shat the bed last summer, I replaced with an EGO. Unless you’ve got an acre+ and/or absolutely only have one morning or afternoon to bang it out, there’s little reason not to make the switch.
