Looking taller and thinner isn't always better. There are some people who don't need or don't feel the need to look taller or thinner. I don't think it is good to perpetuate the idea that all women need to do the same thing to achieve a homogenous standard of beauty.

I'm a woman and I don't really feel the need to wear heels, I find them uncomfortable and some of the times simply ridiculous. I would rather be complimented for my personality.

So... in other words, exactly what I said.

Does anybody else feel a bit bothered that column C isn't wide enough to contain the text within? Holy shit, man, widen that fucker or use text wrap.

I feel like a more productive use of this spreadsheet would be to look at it and realize hitting her up after the gym is a bad time. Maybe she's a morning person.

"Honey, how do you expect me to get in the mood if you don't even have colored drop-down selections for column B?"

Ok, now that is bullshit. Your arches work because of muscles. The stronger the muscles, the stronger the arches. Your foot muscles get stronger barefoot (when they get a workout) and weaker when they aren't able to move (because of arch support in shoes immobilizing them).

So, you basically just confirmed what SleepyCat said about the vanity sizing?

I worked at REI for about 4 years while in college. You would not believe the amount of silly twits who would insist on cramming their size 10 feet into size 8 shoes. Podiatrists love women like that.

And this is exactly why the vanity sizing started to happen.

Walking around barefoot is what we were designed to do; I don't know why podiatrists are so against it. My most comfortable pair of shoes are my Merrell Barefoots. They look like ballet flats, but with a diagonal strap going over your foot. Absolutely no heel, and the sole is 4mm thick. I can walk around in them all

They look exactly the same to me.

Here's a couple of tips:

The real difficulty is that women's shoes, like most of women's clothes, are not standard sizes.

In clothes, I wear a 2-10 depending upon the shop and the cut. In shoes, I wear anywhere between a 7 and 8.5. At a certain point, you have to let go of sizes and look at fit and feel.

Better or just different? Legs look fine just by existing. Contorting them doesn't make them "better".

"It's like walking around barefoot."

Just weighing in here from the male perspective, and a male who has a particular affinity for women in amazing shoes - please be aware none of you are fooling any of us when you wear shoes that don't fit and it's an immediate red flag that you're high maintenance and absurd. So if you're wearing them because you

she won't feed me anymore :(

you, sir/miss, are clearly not too stupid to feed yourself. ergo: boom, you get to reproduce. :D
