Can someone explain to me why Premiere gets so much disdain from FCP users? The only actual argument I've seen is stability, but that seems to differ from person to person.

If you're not doing anything big. then you can just leave the project settings alone. If you close the New Sequence window, you can instead import footage, drag it to the "New Sequence" button, and it'll create a new sequence that matches the clip's settings exactl.y
