Yes, I do have issues. You can read many comments from women with similar issues on Jezebel everyday! Somehow I think you do not tell them that they have issues.

No, men do not do “it” all the time. By “it” I mean being of X ethnicity and flippantly state that they will not date men of X ethnicity. Men are more tactful of that because men are accustomed to being called out for racism and sexism, and women are not accustomed to being called out like that.
I am always shocked how casually women will say they will not date men of their ethnicity. How would you feel if a white woman said, “Thanks for the tip, I will now completely freeze out all Hispanic men”?
Seriously? I think that right now there is a staggering array of shows with offbeat premises. The Knick is about a hospital in turn of the century New York, Manhattan was about the building of the atomic bomb. I think that shows in the 1970's were constantly copying each other with boring premises. Hogan’s Heroes, a…
Hi, you tell me that I should not assume the world works the way I have always assumed it works from my own experience. I really think that this applies more to you than to me.
“niggardly” or “ejaculate” used as a synonym for “to exclaim”?
Yeah, I thought about the word “niggardly” as I wrote my comments. I think that word should just be retired by everyone.
I’ve been dinged before over the dumbest shit. These idioms just aren’t worth it.
Hi, I think that you are overestimating how hard it is for a woman to be considered attractive and underestimating how difficult it is for a man to be considered attractive. I think that there are a higher percentage of men who will be considered undatable than women.
Yeah, I know. I’m still going to avoid using that phrase. I am also a high school English teacher. The things I say get scrutinized to the max. That phrase just isn’t worth the risk.
Yes, I know, but I still try to avoid that phrase.
Yeah, probably. And the kettle/pot comment is a common idiom. But I try to avoid it because it does imply that blackness is bad. Also, I avoid saying things like the “black sheep of the family.”
I think Freddie Mercury’s moustache should make the top 10. Especially globally speaking, as I think more people in foreign nations would name Freddie’s moustache more than Lincoln’s beard.
Charlie Chaplin just kept his similar moustache, and people commented on it. What if your name is Adolf in 1932? Or even if your last name is Hitler. I bet most of the unrelated Hitlers changed their names.
Also, a lot of my “opportunities” dry up pretty quickly, as in a woman will pretty much make herself available, and I do not act immediately, and then the opportunity to date her is revoked. I often wonder what a different more confident man would do if given my opportunities.
You tell me that I am oblivious to princess culture because I am a man. Fair enough. But I grew up thinking it would be very unlikely that I would ever get married. I was a very ugly child. And I have known very many attractive young women who did not date until after college. They certainly had offers handed to them…
Hi. I am 32. Yeah, I am accustomed to people thinking I am handsome, funny, and interesting. Most people think that about me. But most people are not viable dating partners. That is true for all people. A lot of the “people” in my life are male, or non-single women, or significantly older women. A distinct minority of…
Hi, thanks for messaging me. We seem to be on the same page here, but you might be better at expressing it, or at least better at avoiding wrath. I think that Jezebel commenters are less likely to be boring, so our thoughts are more likely to anger them. Women who are boring and know it, are unlikely to be jezebel…
Hi, I usually meet women at work. I have been in the bar business for many years, and usually date either coworkers or customers. I recently became a high school teacher and went out with a truly adorable female teacher. We talked and laughed in a coffee shop for 3 hours. She later told me she has a boyfriend. That…
Are you asking about Postlethwaite in The Usual Suspects? Honestly, it is kind of confusing. Since, it is possible that the Kevin Spacey character was making everything up. He got the name Kobayashi from the cop’s coffee mug. Was the real “kobayashi” an English “limey”, but Spacey’s character retold him with a…
