I am merely asking of the legality of the sidewalk chalk writing. I think that Turner really should have called the police over, “Shoot your local rapist.” Yes, being a principal is not a crime, and raping is, but Brock Turner has already been arrested, charged, convicted, imprisoned, and released,” so sure he should

I think Turner would call the police, and he probably should. If someone writes “Shoot your local mob boss” outside Tony Soprano’s home, he’s not going to call the police, but Brock Turner was already arrested, charged, convicted, and released, why would he fear calling the police?

I just watched that Chick Fil A video on youtube, the guy was out of his mind harrassing that poor drive thru woman.

Well, the police did go to the Turners’ home, not sure who called, or if they just came because they saw the news.

I guess. But the last two times I bought a car, I was really just trying to make a deal and get the fuck out ASAP. Both times were toward the end of the day, and getting another salesperson would have been harder or not possible. I guess I would have had greater bargaining leverage against this guy.

I don’t remember that, but it was interesting, and thanks for sharing. So ironic to see “Adam Smith” getting slapped by the invisible hands of the market!

Yeah, the middle name thing could work out for him.

Ah, yeah, that’s a possibility. I didn’t consider someone would go out of his way to seek Brock Turner out and hire him.

Yeah, I agree. These protesters are at best trying to be more appealing to women, and at worst trying to push a pro assault gun agenda. Or even worse.

Really? I just did a 5 second google search and found this from Maryland in 2012. It specifically lists food services and auto sales clerks. And yeah, this is Maryland in 2012, not totally up to date, and I don’t know the laws of Ohio and other states.

I doubt he’ll be a realtor. It seems that many (most?) realtors have billboards and front yard signs with their faces on it, which is not great for Brock Turner. Maybe he could do commercial real estate, since they seem less likely to use personal photographs, and it seems to me that those clients are less likely to

The reporter was wearing a baseball cap with “7" on it, does that refer to “channel 7"? Even if it does, when was the last time you saw a tv news reporter wearing a baseball cap? (excluding sports).

Geeze. He is seen walking in his back yard with unknown people, possibly his mother. “For more updates on this story, stay tuned.” How was that a story?

Really? Geez. Well, “truck driver” is probably not the most common job in a lot of states as is oft reported, but there are still 2.8 million truck drivers in the US, so I think your comment is pretty messed up. Also, yeah, a lot of sex offenders become truck drivers since it is a job that will hire them. Honestly, I

I’m thinking he could be a car salesman best case scenario, others are envisioning him on Wall Street. Either I am being pessimistic for him, or others are being optimistic.

You know, Brock Turner certainly got off lightly, that cannot be disputed.

If the protesters are doing illegal things, it is MUCH easier for Brock Turner and his family to get them to stop.

It is possible that this protest, the national backlash, and the sex offender registry for life will make Brock Turner very bitter and resentful toward society, instead of remorseful. Or he could be remorseful right now and forever.

Yeah, I really wonder if some of their signs/chalk writings are in fact illegal. Particularly, “shoot your local rapist.” That cannot be legal. Just like, “Shoot your local high school principal,” cannot possibly be legal.

I am now wondering if writing in chalk, “Shoot your local rapist,” is illegal. Imagine writing, “Shoot your local principal” on the sidewalk outside a principal’s home, that would be damn unnerving and absolutely of interest to the police. I really cannot see it being different here, legally speaking.
