The ubiquity of the word has reduced its impact/volume. “Nigga” today doesn’t mean what it did yesterday because its everywhere.

I remember a friend in college singing along to 50 cents magic stick, the lyric about giving dudes deep throat included. He quickly realized the err of his ways.
Hey McQuade, there’s a typo in your headline. It should read, “Marlins Give up HOPE on First Pitch of Season.”
I love Wanda but this normalizing of straight trash is a bridge too far for me.
“Give it a chance” because a PoC is involved? Ben Carson just became your biggest fan.
Thank you;-)
Good I will wait with breathless anticipation for the reboot of the following and then watch white people’s reaction:
I’m bummed John Goodman came back for this. He always seemed like a decent guy. Of course, that’s probably because I never looked too hard.
I appreciate this response and agree. Maybe we’ll one day learn that you, your friends, and I are the odd ones but I actually find it quite easy to not repeat certain words that don’t pertain to me notwithstanding their place in the middle of a song.
This is entirely reasonable and understandable. My friends and I were into hip hop back in the day (for example “Straight Outta Compton” was a big album - I’m an old, and white) and I can tell you that my friends and I never repeated the n-word as we were listening to that album or any others.
Thanks for civil discourse. Yes, I am a Black man. And I’m advocating for white people to never say the n-word colloquiolly. Full stop. Listen to Black music. Appreciate Black culture. Date Black partners. Don’t say the n-word.
So the tl;dw of the song is that its’ a Freaky Friday song. A white rapper and black singers switch bodies. (Lil Dicky and Chris Brown). So Chris Brown (as Lil Dicky) sings the n-word. The entire conceit of those lyrics is that he can only sing them because he’s black.
So that out of the way. No. It’s not ok. White…
He looks just like Obama imo.
Oh and one more thing. What did I say that made you think I was a “fucking idiot”? I value your opinion as a fellow human so I’m curious as to why I come across exactly opposite than I think I sound.
Oh and one more thing. You raise an interesting question about the nature of “privacy” in a society where cell phone cameras are ubiquitous. Since it’s not about race, can you engage me on that? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Oh and one more thing. You said “notifications.” All I get is a little blue number at the top right of my screen. Do you have an app or something?
Oh and one more thing. Notwithstanding your disrespect of capitalization (at least you’re consistent in your disrespect of anything that doesn’t matter to you), I’m proud of you for using “you’re”
Damn. I really hoped to have dialogue with you. The 88 seconds stuff and sensitive white person stuff was just me preempting, almost negging you so that you wouldn’t have to respond exactly as you responded.
Here’s Ta-Nehisi Coates on white people using the n-word when singing along with the lyric. I’m not going to pretend like I can explain it better than he did.
